Just realised how long it has been since I posted in this blog.

Well nothing has changed really.  Family and friends still enjoy coming to visit and the pamper days I have here as part of the Health and Beauty business, go down very well.  The chill bed at the far end of the pool, the birds tweeting and lovely view across to the mountains all add to the lovely ambience.

The dark blue pool continues to create the "WOW" factor.  As people walk down the side of the house they all comment immediately on how secluded the pool and patio are and then they notice that the pool is a completely different colour to everyone else's pool and they love it.

The real Moroccan flavour of the house with its brick surround windows and the paint scheme, the arches and the quirkiness all add to its appeal.

We have become quite laid back about the price!!! Really - we will take an offer -  but a sensible offer of course!!

January 2011 has been so WARM so far!

Hello and welcome to our home!

One of the main reasons we moved to Spain was to enjoy a more relaxed way of life and much better weather (we are certainly going to miss it). We are now halfway through January 2011 and the weather has been more like April - April in Malaga that is - more like a good English Summer's day with temperatures over 22 degrees Celcius most days. This is what I refer to as "wall to wall Sun".

When I think of the weather in the UK at this time of year I shudder - that is what we have to go back to unfortunately. But for you, thinking of coming to live out here or wanting to change houses - this news couldnt be better.

Directions: From Cartama Pueblo take the Coin road past Aguamania Bar & Restaurant. After Aguamania you will see the CEPSA Butano yard on your right and immediately after that is a turning to the right onto a concrete track. Follow the track past the Cortijo La Bolina on your left, past Finca Los Naranjos on your left and then you will reach Finca Las Mariposas also on the left. Distance from main road to the Finca is 300 metres!

The property is 1200 m2 and is completely fenced. The road end is marked by gates and ornamental wall. There is a parking space outside the property and room for two cars on the concrete inside the gates.

The house is set slightly lower than the track down two steps and is all on one level built in an “L” shape around the pool.

It consists of entrance with guest toilet on left and small study on right. Entrance leads past bedroom 1 with ensuite wet room, separate toilet and double washbasin area with window to the front of the property. Adjoining this “sun/dining room” are two individual rooms (bedrooms 2 and 3) with ensuite shower rooms and separate entrances. This makes the property ideal for B&B or a separate business as it is not necessary to go through the main house to gain access to these rooms.


 There is a path from the front along the side of the property which comes out on the pool area terrace and gives access to these two rooms.


In the “L” created by the main house, sun room terrace and spare room extension, is the swimming pool. Approximately 9 metres by 3 metres and tiled in dark blue tiles with underwater lighting and access steps, the pool is of one depth of 1.50m

Situated on end wall of the second bedroom are two 1000 litre water tanks and a 3x3.5 metre wooden shed.
